I am not a real Pop: Latin music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Time Flies’ really is amazing. After seeing Time Flies, I had to have a good Vaya Con Dios cd. Vaya Con Dios was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Vaya Con Dios and Time Flies together. Time Flies constantly brilliant.
Blew our minds when we first heard Forever Blue. The song Farewell Song ending is my favorite… so catchy! So Long Ago - Check out that bassline! I love the melodic melody of Still A Man and to this day it makes me feel good. Heading For A Fall - Vaya Con Dios first major hit. Mothers and Daughters is another favourite of mine.

Selena’s debut, ‘Dreaming of You’, does not fit easily into one genre. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Selena’s new album to that on ‘Dreaming of You’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. After seeing I Could Fall In Love, I had to have a good Selena cd. If you love Selena as much as I do, then Selena Dreaming of You is the CD for you!
Captive Heart (4:24) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! I’m Getting Used To You I just LOVE this mix! God’s Child (Baila Conmigo) - A classic Selena track. Dreaming Of You - arguably the best track on Dreaming of You album. Missing My Baby one is one of the better boring ones. Amor Prohibido - This one makes me want to not only sing along.

After debuting at No. 1 last week, Gipsy Kings’s album Somos Gitanos falls to No. 2 with 986,000, a sales slide of 68%. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Gipsy Kings energies, virtually a rebirth. After seeing Somos Gitanos, I had to have a good Gipsy Kings cd. Somos Gitanos constantly brilliant.
Magia Del Ritmo great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Quiero Libertad - This one makes me want to not only sing along. First time I heard Poquito was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Lieva Me El Compas - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Felices Dias one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Solo, Solo Dire - To me, this is the best song on the Somos Gitanos.

Just A Friend Of Mine - I like this one. Blew our minds when we first heard Puerto Rico. Johnny - For me, this is the best of the album. Something’s Got A Hold On Me - I just love it. Not surprising from Gipsy Kings and Luna de fuego together. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Gipsy Kings on ‘Amor d’un dia’. This album is awesome.
Luna de fuego has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Calaverada is a bit of a show-tune. Galaxia - To me, this is the best song on the Luna de fuego. Ruptura - A catchy, upbeat tune.

Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Ricky Martin on ‘Fuego De Noche, Nieve De Dia’. Since completing 1995’s ‘Fuego De Noche, Nieve De Dia’, Ricky Martin fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I wish that “A Medio Vivir” album was instrumental.
A Medio Vivir is another favourite of mine. Ricky Martin must have run out of lyrics on the next track Maria. Te Extrano, Te Olvido, Te Amo - Check out that bassline! This album has some very good songs like Caravane and Ne Partons Pas Faches. On Caravane album, Raphael have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke . . .’ school of songwriting. Self-described as Pop: Latin with lots of words, Raphael comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is what good Pop: Latin should be.
