This is the first studio album from Laid Back since bad diagnosis in 1995. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Laid Back’s album Laidest Greatest falls to No. 2 with 921,000, a sales slide of 72%. Lead single “White Horse” and “Backerman” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Backerman - Okay, I just talked about depth. Sunshine Reggae - A classic Laid Back track. We Don’t Do It - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Highway Of Love I just LOVE this mix! Maybe I’m Crazy - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Groovie Train - I like this one.
