It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Garth Brooks energies, virtually a rebirth. Jim Jones has compared writing for Garth Brooks’s new album to that on ‘No Fences’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Lead single “The Thunder Rolls” and “New Way To Fly” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
New Way To Fly (3:56) - awsome. Two Of A Kind, Workin’ On A Full House - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Victim Of The Game one is one of the better boring ones. Once Friends In Low Places gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. This Ain’t Tennessee - For me, this is the best of the album.
