For older fans Moment of Truth will put a massive smile accross your face. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Gang Starr energies, virtually a rebirth. Since Gang Starr last CD (Moment of Truth) on SixSteps records back in 1998, I have felt a massive void in my life. Moment of Truth is the best essence of Gang Starr.
In Memory Of… - A nice song. JFK 2 LAX is a bit of a show-tune. So much energy, so exciting a sound.The Rep grows bigga - arguably the best track on Moment of Truth album. The Militia (feat. Big Shug and Freddie Foxxx) - a classic song. B.I. vs Friendship (feat. M. O. P.) - Gang Starr first major hit. Moment of Truth - My least favorite song on this album. Gang Starr must have run out of lyrics on the next track My Advice 2 you. When I listen to New York Strait Talk in my car when traffic ain’t going so good.
