There is so much to love about Donovan, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Since completing 1968’s ‘Wear Your Love Like Heaven’, Donovan fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Donovan was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Donovan and Gift From A Flower To A Garden together. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Mad John’s Escape - A strong beat. Skip-A-Long Sam - arguably the best track on Gift From A Flower To A Garden album. Sun very upbeat. There Was A Time - another great track from the Gift From A Flower To A Garden album. Oh Gosh - A nice song. Little Boy In Corduroy is a bit of a show-tune. Under The Greenwood Tree is worth the money. The song The Land Of Doesn’t Have To Be ending is my favorite… so catchy! Someone’s Singing one is one of the better boring ones. Song Of The Naturalist’s Wife - This one is lively and fun.
